With the upcoming presidential and congressional elections, the US population remains clearly divided over gun ownership and the rights of the people. The new national poll reveals that 48 percent of Americans support major restrictions or a complete ban on gun ownership by individuals except for police.
According to CNN, the poll numbers have not changed in the wake of the recent shootings.
“There are gender and ideological gaps on this issue, with more than six in 10 women and two thirds of self-described liberals supporting major restrictions or a complete ban, [...] And major restrictions on guns are more popular in urban areas and in the Northeast than in the rest of the country,” stated a CNN spokesperson in the network’s press statement.
Attorney General, Eric Holder, has been said to want a national, permanent gun registration system administered by law enforcement. A registration of honest citizens who have cleared the federal background check for gun purchases with those records permanently retained by and shared among law enforcement.
This is BS we need to get Obama and his social/communist views out of office.

Jason, over 100,000 people a year are injured by fire arms, 30,000 a year die…this is just in the US alone.
The government needs to regulate the firearms, their is no reason for a person to have a M16 or Ak47 these are ment to kill people…that is their only purpose.

I like guns and hunting as much as the next guy, but there has to be some type of regulation on high capacity rifles and pistol to stop this stuff …period!
yes gun control as like Germany, Russia, China,and many more countries who did this Ban the guns from the people yea we see how good that has worked.
Maybe, instead of banning guns we should start banning those people who do most of the abuse of guns. The socialist way. Blame everyone for the actions of a few. Take away the rights of the law abiding to stop those who plainly do not care about the law. In this way they make everyone socialist, because everyone becomes a victim.
